Embankment Fill

The core product we provide for most projects is Embankment Fill. Bishop & Buttrey chooses quality fill that is free of muck, rubbish, and other materials that are unsuitable for roadbed and construction projects.

Unscreened Shell

Taken from ancient seabeds buried deep under Central Florida's soil, Bishop & Buttrey provides high-quality, unscreened shell that meets the compaction and density requirements for roadbed and commercial construction projects.

Stabilizer

Earthen material that contains higher clay content can be used as additives for greater soil cohesion in projects. Bishop & Buttrey excavates clay materials that meet the bearing value, uniformity, and particle size necessary for compaction needs.

Top Soil

Bishop & Buttrey often receives excess top soil from construction sites. This material can be used to complete the prepared soil layers of a project, providing an excellent, organic-rich medium for growing new plant life to avoid runoff and beautify finished project sites.

Yard Trash Processing Facility

In September 2019, B&B obtained a permit to operate a Yard Trash Processing Facility,  which enables us to receive and process Type 1 soil (topsoil with vegetation, or organic-laden materials) at Pit 164 in east Orlando.

B&B can receive from construction companies the materials generated from initially clearing land for development. B&B then screens the material and removes any non-soil debris (mostly roots from tree trunks) and then has the opportunity to repurpose the material as topsoil.
